One of our major business areas is the manufacturing of substrates, a business that we have been engaged in for two decades, and in which we stand apart due to the wide variety of compositions and our superior logistical network.

We have substrate factories in India, Sri Lanka, and Spain. In India and Sri Lanka, we process coconut in order to convert it into a raw material for substrate blends, as well as manufacturing a line of hydroponic substrates, Golden Grow Hydroponics. In Spain, we manufacture bespoke blends of substrates, with a portfolio of more than 200 formulations. We import peat from the north of Europe, coconut from Asia and in our factory, located in the port of Almería, we design and manufacture blends, to which we add a variety of enhancing additives. From there, we distribute our products to Spain, France, Portugal, and Morocco. From Sri Lanka and India, we export to 20 countries around the world. We are currently the only company with the capacity to manufacture such a significant quantity of blends and also distribute them, complying with the strictest quality parameters. Our production capacity with these factories combines to more than 250,000 m3.

We have factories in India and Sri Lanka where we process coconut in order to supply raw material to substrate manufacturers or to horticultural producers who, due to their size and machinery, prefer to prepare their own blends. We set ourselves apart by having factories in different regions in Sri Lanka and India, which allows us to increase our supply capacity, avoiding the disadvantages for coconut production brought about by the climate in these areas during certain seasons of the year. Our raw material is commercialised under the brand name Golden Grow Blend.

In these factories, we also manufacture coconut substrate blends that are mainly used in hydroponics or as a ready-made solution to be used in a plant nursery. We manufacture grow bags, EasyPlanters, and coconut discs, which are used by clients who produce vegetables or have plant nurseries. Our coconut blends, commercialised under the brand name Golden Grow Hydroponics, work very well, enhancing production performance for tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, cucumbers, strawberries, basil, roses, and Gerbera, among others.

In addition to this, we have a factory in Spain, in the port of Almería, with a production capacity of more than 100,000 m3 of substrate. In this factory, we use raw materials, such as peat, coconut, and wood fibre, and we manufacture substrates to order for plant nurseries, seed growers, forest and citrus plant propagation companies, and more. We often state that we are the only company that offers à la carte substrates because we have more than 150 formulations, prepared for every crop, climate, production technology, etc. Even so, if the client needs another blend, we will design it for them. This is only possible thanks to a highly flexible system of production - a technical team dedicated to designing blends and a commercial network that is familiar with the crops and their behaviour. Our brand of professional substrates is Projar Professional and hundreds of clients count on it in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
